MAPA files non-profit paperwork to Jefferson City

KANSAS CITY, Missouri -- Local animation group the Midwest Association of Animators (MAPA) has filed with the Missouri Secretary of State's office, taking the first step to becoming a non-for-profit, 501(c) group.

Directors unanimously adopted articles of incorporation and bylaws for non-profit status Monday, January 31.  Members of the MAPA Board of Directors were appointed to each serve a two-year term. 

MAPA Board of Directors:

Part of MAPA’s group mission is to promote education, appreciation and exhibition of animated works within the community.  Though the group is headquartered in Kansas City, MO, the group lends support to students, artists and art organizations throughout the Midwestern states.
