Kansas City Art Institute Celebrates 125 Years

KANSAS CITY, Missouri - The Kansas City Art Institute celebrates its 125th anniversary Friday at 3:30 p.m.

The party on the campus green will include a presentation from Mayor Mark Funkhouser, costumes showing the decades from 1885 to the 1970's and the burial of a time capsule. School President Kathleen Collins will also cut a cake shaped like the school's historic Vanderslice Hall.
