First Friday Reception is June 1st, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
We have all
been uplifted and delighted by the cartoons of Walt Disney, and this show is a
tribute to his artistic influence on local artists and his roots in the Kansas
City area.
The "Thank You Walt Disney" charitable organization is preserving
Walt's first studio just a few blocks from Buttonwood Art Space. In tribute, the
artists at Buttonwood have combined to bring you art works showcasing line art,
cartoons, highly colorful works and pieces inspired by imagination and will
donate 50% of net sales to benefit the TYWD organization. Come see paintings of
Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse, Spiderman, Superman, Family Guy,
Tinkerbell, Snow White, Ariel, Yogi Bear, Flintstones, Darth Vader, Boba Fett,
Daffy Duck, Winnie the Pooh, Bambi, Beetle Bailey, Wolverine, X-Men, Harley
Quinn, Goofy, and MORE!
