Artist Inc Seminar Series Announced

Learn the business of art in a special seminar series just for artists.  Artist, INC is a cutting-edge training seminar program in business development for Kansas artists. It's a program that's been going on for a few years in Kansas City, and is gaining more and more interest.

1. When: Eight Saturday mornings (January 22 - March 12, 2011)

2. Where: Wichita State University, Devlin Hall

3. Application deadline: 5:00 pm, Friday, November 5, 2010

4. How to participate: Submit an application!

Artists will gain:

•Tools and skills in planning, marketing, finance, law and technology;

•An increased knowledge of and ability to access local and national arts business resources;

•A strategic plan for pursuing, marketing and sustaining their art; and

•A network of cross-discipline, diverse artists to provide peer learning and support into the future.

Develop relationships with local artist facilators:

•Danette Baker (performing artist, actor, fight choreographer)

•Ed Baker (performing artist, technical director)

•Connie Ernatt (visual artist, sculpture)

•Adam Hartke (musician, producer)

•Ann Resnick (visual artist, printmaker and multi-media)
