Feb. 4, 2011 NEW YORK -- Bloomberg Businessweek reported media conglomerate Viacom Inc., (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), has acquired a minority stake in Rainbow Group, a privately held animation and consumer products company based in Italy. The announcement came on Friday.
The investment comes after Nickelodeon, a Viacom subsidiary, formed a partnership with Rainbow Group that included TV rights for "Winx Club," an Italian animated TV series.
